Juri & Karen serve in Berlin, Germany, building bridges of love between German speakers and Arab speakers that can bear the weight of truth. They work to foster mutual understanding and appreciation across the diverse cultures of Europe and the diverse cultures of the Middle Eastern & North Africa that converge among Berlin’s 193 nationalities. Through Lighthouse Berlin, and in partnership with local and international organizations, they create relationship building spaces between the cultures. In these relationship building spaces, with their partners, they collaborate to shine the Light of mutual understanding and appreciation by hosting intercultural special events, cross cultural casual language cafes, and multicultural learning experiences.
